Katey Sagal
Katey Sagal, a gifted and versatile
performer who could do comedy as well as drama, was an actor/singer who became
a popular face in the late 1980s when she played the role as Peg Bundy. She was
the brilliantly outspoken, unorthodoxated Peg Bundy on Fox's Married... with
Children (1987). In the course of the show's long run, she was nominated for
three Golden Globes and two American Comedy Award. Peg Bundy was as popular and
popular as Katey, and she continued to appear in television sitcoms. Katey also
played roles that were completely opposite of the role that first caught her
the attention of the nation. In 2008, she portrayed the character of Gemma
Teller Morrow on Sons of Anarchy (2008). The character was the mother of a
Hell's Angels-esque California biker band. In 2011, her performance in the
character earned her an award for her performance in the Golden Globe Award as
Best Performance by an Actor in a TV Series-Drama. Catherine Louise Sagal, the
director and daughter of Sara Zwilling and Boris Sagal was born on January 19,
1954. Los Angeles native Catherine Louise Sagal started performing at the
tender age of five. She went to school for acting and voice at the California
Institute of the Arts. She was a singing waitress during her "salad"
years. After her time with "The Group With No Name," she got a break
when she joined forces with Gene Simmons and KISS, a 1970s rock band. She also
performed as a backing singer for recordings for Simmons and other famous
celebrities, including Bob Dylan (Olivia Newton-John), Etta James, and Tanya
Tucker. In Bette's avant-garde stage shows in the late 1970s and into the early
1980s, she was dynamic in live performances with Bette Midler.
